Hello and welcome to Rude Boi Books!
This is the start of a small project of mine where I simply sell books and book adjacent objects. I have been bookbinding for the best part of a decade, over these years I have had the privilege to work on rebinding 16th century leather-bound tight-backs, to portfolios as wide as my hatchback. I will use this knowledge and hard-earned experience to make high quality, beautiful and practical books (or book adjacent objects) for use in your everyday life.
Why Rude Boi?
From the moment I heard Reggae music I've been in love, it is a genre which has genuinely supported me through my life. No matter the circumstances, I've been listening to reggae pretty much non-stop for the past 16 years, and stand by its commitment to love, liberation and a ranking good time. I will always be changing and growing as a person, but deep in my soul I'll always be a bit rude.
My Aims
Are to produce beautiful books, made from good quality materials, that people will want to use! Look forward to a whole range of items, from notebooks and photo albums to even deck boxes. Every step of making these items will be done by hand at my home. From folding, trimming and sewing the pages to paring leather. This takes time to do, which is reflected in the finished product and the price. To buy a Rude Boi Book is to buy an object made by loving hands for lovely people.
